Welcome to St Joseph School.

We hope you are excited to join our community and we welcome you!  As you sift through the various papers found in your registration packet provided by the St Joseph School office, we also require some medical paperwork along with those provided forms.  Please see below for downloads and links to complete the next step in the registration process.

Entry into St. Joseph School:

All incoming students must provide a birth certificate with the registration forms.  Also, physical and immunization forms must be submitted for approval by the school nurse before entry into St. Joseph School.  Pre-K children must be at least 3 years of age and toilet trained for admission.

Pre-K Families, School Readiness Grant:

Thompson receives a grant from the Department of Education and Department of Social Services to assist families with preschool tuition costs. St. Joseph School’s Pre-K program currently offers reduced tuition to qualified Thompson families through this grant. To qualify for this program, your family must meet the income guidelines set by the Department of Social Services.  If you are unable to pay the full tuition, you can fill out the School Readiness Application and return it to St. Joseph School office or directly to TEEG to see if you qualify for this grant.  You will be required to include proof of income (two most recent pay stubs for all working adults in the home) along with the school registration forms.

This form will be available in the spring of 2019. Please contact the school office (860) 923-2090 if you want the form sent to you as soon as it is available by TEEG.

If your child is going to participate in any school sport during the 2019-2020 school year (other than a club), a physical dated on or after July 1, 2020 is required.  The Thompson Public School offers sports physicals before each sport season (for approximately $25) as an alternative to seeing your physician.   A note from your physician is not enough to play school sports.  A physical form is required.  Please make a note of this.  The sport physical dates will be listed on the yearly calendar that will be sent home with final report cards in June.
